Our AI enhancements are designed to highlight key behaviors for proctors, such as detecting objects like cell phones, identifying if a candidate steps out of the camera view, and flagging if another face is detected. Soon, we’ll also be introducing eye gaze detection, which will alert proctors if a candidate looks away from their screen for prolonged periods.

The candidate’s integrated webcam (Camera #1) works with the AI system to monitor for unauthorized items or individuals. Meanwhile, Camera #2—the candidate’s mobile device—provides a wider view of the test environment. Both camera views are recorded and can be reviewed later, ensuring comprehensive oversight.

Alerts are displayed as a purple outline around detected items, which may include unauthorized materials like books, devices, or notes, and any additional faces in the camera’s view. A missing face also triggers an alert.
All of Kryerion’s AI tools supplement proctors’ ability to observe and evaluate test environment conditions. They do not interact directly with candidates.
