Burning Question: What is Dual Camera Proctoring?
Kryterion provides a dual camera option for the highest level of security when administering an exam. This allows proctors to monitor a broader scope of the candidate’s environment compared to a single embedded or standalone external camera.
Our system captures two perspectives for comprehensive monitoring. The candidate’s face and eyes are captured through an integrated webcam, while a mobile device camera provides a wide-angle view of the testing station. This approach ensures both the candidate and their surroundings are monitored, reducing the risk of cheating or unauthorized assistance.
Candidates also benefit from a user-friendly experience by being able to use their own mobile devices, eliminating the need for extra equipment and providing a familiar, comfortable setup. In addition, when candidates use their mobile devices as a second camera, it eliminates the possibility that these devices can be used for unauthorized purposes.

Burning Question: Does Kryterion Offer Event Based Proctoring?
Yes! We offer event-based proctoring for synchronous group examinations at venues such as annual conferences, trade shows, or training venues. This solution enables clients to customize the candidate login screen with event-specific branding and implements enhanced security measures.
Candidates register through Webassessor using the same scheduling and payment components as standard exams. Clients provide their own proctors for both event-based and client-proctored exams, keeping a consistent and secure testing experience. Read more about our event solutions here.
Burning Question: Can I Use a Lockdown Browser with Kryterion?
Definitely! Kryterion offers a lockdown browser as an added layer of security to restrict the free use of a computer and browser. In other words, with a secure browser, a test-taker will not have access to the files on their computer or be able to copy, paste, and print. Additionally, a secure browser prevents switching between applications, so that email, instant messaging, and video chat can’t be used during an exam.

Burning Question: What Does No-Cost Publishing Mean?
It means that Kryterion does not charge test publishing fees. Plain and simple. Where others charge for publishing, updating, and correcting assessments, Kryterion has a different philosophy; it’s your exam, and you should be able to publish and edit it as you please. Without having to pay. This is one of Kryterion’s core competencies and one that, frankly, we don’t understand why others don’t share.
No cost publishing eliminates financial barriers, which allows organizations to redirect funds to where they’re needed most, such as improving test content or marketing certification programs. Plus, unlimited publishing and updates mean customers have the freedom to scale and grow without having to worry about financial constraints.
