Limiting Personal Information
Personally identifiable information, or PII, is information that is used to identify an individual, including their birthday, social security number, address, and more. Of course, some information needs to be collected in the authentication process, however the amount that is required can vary drastically. At Kryterion, we do not require more information than is absolutely needed.
Additionally, there are many PII privacy regulations that reputable companies will prioritize being in compliance with. At Kryterion, we take this very seriously, which is why we comply with the:
- California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CA)
- General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR/EU)
- Children’s Online Privacy Protection Rule (COPPA/US)
- Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA/Canada)
- Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA/US)
But, we don’t stop at just North American regulations. Internationally, we are compliant with the:
- EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (EU-U.S. DPF)
- UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF
- Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Swiss-U.S. DPF)
Item Delivery Through Webassessor
Sometimes the simplest way to cheat is also the most effective. When tests have the same questions in the same order, it’s possible to memorize that information to pass along to others. To decrease predictability, it’s best to randomize the content on the exam.
Through Webassessor, Kryterion’s innovative test delivery platform, information can be randomized in the following ways:
- Item response option sequencing
- Item delivery within a test form
- Topic delivery within a test form
- Test form delivery sequencing
- Item (subset) delivery by topic (a.k.a item pooling)
By utilizing this, organizations can protect their exams from simply being memorized.
Standard Test Security
